Homicide investigation launched after man found dead at Tauranga home

A homicide investigation has been launched after the death of a man in Tauranga this morning.

Police were called to an address on Fraser St in the suburb of Parkvale at around 11.40am on Sunday where officers found a man dead.

"A person is currently assisting police with inquiries, and a scene examination will take place at the property today," Detective Inspector Lew Warner said.

"Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this matter, however we would like to hear from anyone who might have information about this incident or those involved."

Anyone with relevant information should contact police on 105.
