One person is seriously injured after a crash in Lower Hutt this morning.
A police spokesperson said Rutherford Str was closed between Melling Link and Connolly Street following the single-vehicle crash reported to emergency services about 5.30am.
"One person is reported to have serious injuries," they said.
Footage taken from the scene by 1News showed emergency services including Fire and Emergency NZ and police officers at the scene next to a fuel truck.

The road was expected to be closed for some time, and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
Heading into Lower Hutt, there was no left turn off the Melling Bridge.
