Two boaties have been safely evacuated after their launch caught fire on Auckland's Hauraki Gulf this morning.
Emergency service received multiple calls at around 8.15am to report a 38-foot launch on fire between Motukorea/Browns Island and Musick Point.
Police maritime unit Sergeant Jesse Jenden said Deodar III transported firefighters from Parnell to the burning boat.
"Unfortunately, the vessel was well engulfed in fire."

Coastguard Howick volunteers also transported firefighters from Howick to the incident.
"The two people on board safely evacuated to a tender," a Coastguard spokesperson said.
Fire and Emergency NZ (FENZ) said firefighters extinguished the fire and left the scene at around 9.20am.
"No persons or injuries have been reported," a FENZ spokesperson said.
The Auckland Harbourmaster said a team was currently at the site of the wreck clearing debris.
