'Mum will love you forever': Children killed in Sanson house fire farewelled
Hundreds of mourners turned out in bright colours today to celebrate the lives of the three children whose bodies were found following a Manawatū house fire earlier this month.
August, 7, Hugo, 5, and Goldie, 1, died on November 15 at the family's home in Sanson. Their father Dean Field was also found dead at the scene, which police are investigating as a homicide.
"I will miss you three so much. And you will know that your mum loves you forever and ever." mother Chelsey Field said during today's service.
Two climbers die after fall on Aoraki Mount Cook
Two climbers have died in a fall while attempting to summit Aoraki Mount Cook last night.
The group of four had been attempting the climb when two, connected by a rope, fell near the summit.
The pair killed in the incident were an International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA)-qualified mountain guide and their client, the NZ Mountain Guides Association confirmed this afternoon.
