A person is trapped and believed to have suffered serious injuries after a crash near Glenorchy in Otago this morning.
Police were notified of a single vehicle crash around 9.40am on Glenorchy-Paradise Road, between Priory and Lovers Leap Roads.
One person is trapped in the vehicle and "seems to have suffered serious injuries", police said.
FENZ said it responded with one truck from Glenorchy, one from Frankton, two from Queenstown, and one helicopter.
It said it was awaiting hydraulic cutting equipment, which was being flown in by helicopter to free the person.
Police and St John were in attendance at the scene.
There were no reports of the road being blocked at this stage, but delays could be expected, police said.
