A Swiss man has been charged with careless driving causing death following a two-vehicle crash in Canterbury yesterday.
The two-vehicle crash happened on State Highway 73, at the intersection with Deans Rd in Sheffield shortly before 3pm.
Police confirmed at the time that two others sustained minor injuries in the crash.
"A 32-year-old Swiss national has been charged with careless driving causing death," a police spokesperson said.
He was due to appear in Christchurch District Court today.
Police said "thoughts remain with the family of the deceased at this difficult time".
