A man has been critically injured following an attack involving six dogs at a house in Sydney this morning.
Emergency services were called to a property on Kildare Rd in Doonside around 11am following reports of a dog attack.
The 54-year-old was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
Six dogs were seized from the property by the Blacktown City Council following the incident.
A council spokesperson told Nine three of the dogs – believed to be Bull Arab crosses – were "voluntarily surrendered" at the owners' request and "have been euthanised".
"Preliminary information indicates the incident began when several large dogs attacked smaller dogs on the property," the spokesperson said.
"[The] council is committed to community safety and will continue to support police as enquiries continue."
