Prince Andrew will soon simply be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor after the process to strip the disgraced brother of King Charles III of all of his royal titles began today, but his daughters will keep theirs.
The formal process to remove Andrew's titles was revealed today in a bombshell announcement from Buckingham Palace, after he and the royal family had faced continued scrutiny over his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The process will mean that Andrew will no longer hold the titles of Prince, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, Baron Killyleagh, or the style ‘His Royal Highness’.

While Andrew no longer holds any titles, his two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, remain unaffected by the move. As granddaughters of Queen Elizabeth II, they remain princesses and retain their places in the royal line of succession.
Princess Beatrice is ninth in line for the throne, followed by her children, while Princess Eugenie is twelfth, also followed by her children.

The pair are not working royals. However, they do undertake some duties and charity work.
According to the BBC earlier this month, Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will lose her title of Duchess of York, which she kept after the couple divorced in 1996. She stopped using the style of 'Her Royal Highness' after the divorce.
She will also be evicted from the Royal Lodge in Windsor alongside Andrew. Ferguson has been Andrew's housemate at the lodge for several years. She will need to find her own future accommodation.
Ferguson faces her own Epstein-related scandal.

In September, seven charities dropped her as patron or ambassador after a 2011 email revealed she called Epstein her "supreme friend" and seemed to apologise for her public criticism of him.
A spokesperson for Ferguson said the email was intended to counter a threat of defamation by Epstein after his first conviction.
"This email was sent in the context of advice the duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats," the statement said.
