Operator of deal website GrabOne in liquidation

The website was effectively shut down this morning.

The company that runs deal website GrabOne is in liquidation, a message on its website reads.

The site, which offered users deals on experiences, products, and travel, now carries a message from the liquidators.

It stated that Daniel Stoneman and Neale Jackson of Calibre Partners were appointed liquidators of Global Marketplace New Zealand Limited, the company that operated GrabOne, as of today.

"Due to funding constraints, the business has ceased trading and the liquidators are immediately commencing a sales process for the Company's business and assets," the update read.

"As a result, the Company will not be promoting any existing or future Deals whilst in liquidation."

The liquidators said customers with unredeemed vouchers would not be able to get a refund from the company.

"Consumers will need to take steps themselves - including contacting individual merchants - to assess how unredeemed vouchers will be treated.

"For the avoidance of doubt, the liquidators do not adopt any agreement you had with the Company personally or otherwise, and the agreement remains between you and the Company."

The GrabOne Facebook page was promoting deals in recent days, but appeared to have been removed this morning.
