Dr Anna Breman has been named as the new Governor of the Reserve Bank.

She had previously served as a deputy Governor of Sweden’s Riksbank - its central bank – since 2019. Breman will be the first woman to hold the role

Christopher Luxon responds to 15th-place ranking by business leaders

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has shrugged off being lowly ranked by big business leaders and says he isn't worried by chatter about his leadership.

The PM and his Finance Minister, Nicola Willis, were ranked 15th and 13th respectively in the annual Mood of the Boardroom survey, released today.

What's been said about the Holidays Act overhaul

The Government yesterday announced a sweeping overhaul of employment leave legislation, including changes to how annual and sick leave is calculated.

Workplace Relations and Safety Minister Brooke van Velden announced on Tuesday that the Holidays Act would be repealed and replaced with a new Employment Leave Act.

Executive editor Danica Salazar said the update included a "variety of colloquial expressions characteristic of New Zealand English".
