Two more people have been arrested after a gun was fired towards a vehicle in a carpark outside an Auckland supermarket on Tuesday night.
It bring the total number of those charged over the incident to three. Police did not rule out further arrests.
Police responded to reports of an "altercation" at a carpark in Hobsonville at around 4.40pm on Tuesday, where a gun was fired.
"Police have executed search warrants at three addresses in West Auckland, seized three vehicles and a number of items of interest in the investigation," Detective Senior Sergeant Ryan Bunting said.
A 20-year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon, followed by the arrest of a 25-year-old man at around 9.30pm.
The 25-year-old would be appearing in the Waitākere District Court today charged with wounding with intent.
The 25-year-old would also appear in court today, charged with assault with intent to rob and driving without a licence.
A 24-year-old man alleged to have fired the gun appeared in court yesterday.
"Enquiries are ongoing to find anyone else who may have been involved,” Bunting said.
“We are reassuring members of the community that we take their safety very seriously. Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are not ruling out further arrests.”
