Sydney teen arrested after falling trolley hits man at shopping centre

A 13-year-old girl has been arrested in Sydney after a trolley was allegedly thrown from the second floor of a Sydney shopping centre, injuring a passerby.

Police were called to the Chatswood shopping centre at around 11.50am yesterday (local time) to reports that a 59-year-old man had been seriously injured.

According to 9News, the man had been struck by a falling shopping trolley while walking along the ground floor.

Police at the scene of the incident, which injured a 59-year-old man.

He was treated for head and facial injuries at the scene before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A 13-year-old girl was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.

The trolley was also seized for forensic examination.
