The All Blacks' halfback injury crisis has definitely worsened with Noah Hotham revealing the extent of his injury from Saturday's loss against the Springboks.
Hotham posted to his Instagram story images of himself at hospital, including an x-ray of his injured leg which appears to reveal a clean break.
1News has sought comment on Hotham's injury from All Blacks management.
Hotham was making his return from injury after missing the first three rounds of the Rugby Championship with a high ankle sprain to his other leg, sustained during the third Test against France in July.

However the return was short lived with Hotham leaving the field early after coming out on the worse end of an attempted tackle against South African lock Lood de Jager.
The development adds to an already busy injury ward with first choices Cam Roigard and Cortez Ratima also out currently.
All Blacks coach Scott Robertson said on Sunday though he was optimistic about the pair being available for his side's next fixture - a September 27 showdown with the Wallabies at Eden Park.
A bye this week also helps.
“It would be a massive boost,” Robertson said.
“It would be good to get a couple coming back the other way.”
