Five-vehicle crash causes delays on major Auckland motorway

A vehicle of the New Zealand police has pulled over a vehicle for speeding in Cromwell in central Otago in the South Island.

A five-vehicle crash has caused delays on Auckland's northwestern motorway this morning.

Police were called to the crash at around 6.36am.

Two southbound lanes between Lincoln and Royal roads are closed while the crash is cleared.

"At this stage, there are no reports of serious injury," police said.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area or take an alternative route.
