Queensland police have appealed for information after 53 right shoes were reported stolen from a Brisbane store.
An unknown man was caught on camera entering a shopping centre in the Brisbane suburb of Kenmore on July 7.
"Investigations indicate about 7.35pm, an unknown male has removed a number of right shoes, that were covered in the middle of a common area, at a shopping centre on Brookfield Road," Queensland Police said.
He could be seen walking to a number of bags holding shoes placed on tables in the middle of a common area, putting the footwear into a suitcase and then leaving the shop.
The store released a statement on Instagram about the theft the day after the incident.
"At some point last night, someone treated themselves to a little "shopping spree" at our covered sale table and took off with 53 right-foot boots.
"Now, we only ever pop the right shoe out on display to stop things going walkabout, and keep things simple, but it seems someone didn't get the memo.
"Where are the 53 right-foot boots are off to, we may never know."
The store also asked: "To the person who took off with a rather very unbalanced haul, were you aware you were grabbing solos?"
