Sydney man charged with alleged indecent assault on US flight

A Sydney man has been charged over the alleged indecent assault of another passenger on an international flight from the US.

The Australian Federal Police said an investigation was launched after airline crew reported a man had allegedly “touched a woman inappropriately on the thigh and buttock while she tried to sleep”.

Police say the 36-year-old moved seats to sit in the same row as the woman, who he did not know.

The woman was moved to a different section of the aircraft for the remainder of the flight after crew members became aware of the alleged incident.
