Late One Direction singer Liam Payne left behind a $54.33 million fortune after dying without a will.
Payne was 31 when he died after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October.
Court documents today named his former partner, Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy, and music industry lawyer Richard Bray as administrators of his estate, The Guardian reports. However, the pair have limited authority.
Probate documents showed the total gross value of his estate was £28.6m (NZ$63.94m), but was reduced to £24.3m (NZ$54.33m) after deducting any debts and expenses.
Under English intestacy laws, the closest living relative – usually a spouse, civil partner or their children – would usually have first claim to the estate, according to Citizens Advice.
Payne never married, but had 8-year-old son Bear with Tweedy.
Three of the five people charged with criminal negligence in connection with Payne's death had their charges dropped in February.
