2 St Johns bus stop killing: Teen charged with murder, tearful vigil at scene
US PhD student Kyle Whorrall was attacked at a St Johns bus stop on Saturday night and later died in hospital.
A 16-year-old has been remanded in custody after being charged with murdering Whorrall, while a 32-year-old woman was charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact.
This morning, soon after the arrest was announced, grieving fellow students, flatmates and friends gathered for an emotional vigil at the site where Whorrall was set upon.
3 Worker discovers nearly $30 million of cocaine at Auckland business
Detective Senior Sergeant Anthony Darvill said more than 75 packages of cocaine were found wrapped in cellophane in duffle bags concealed in a shipping container at a Mount Wellington business.
There were around 75kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of nearly $30m.
A joint investigation between police and Customs will now focus on the movements of the container and its eventual destination.
