- Strong winds and rain from ex-cyclone Tam have moved down from Northland and Auckland to Coromandel and Bay of Plenty overnight.
- State Highway 25 around the Coromandel Peninsula has reopened following earlier closures.
- Power companies continue to scramble to restore supply to thousands of customers across Northland, warning some repairs may take up to three days.
- Air New Zealand has cancelled some flights early this morning and continues to monitor conditions across the country.
