Police have ruled out suspicious circumstances in the death of a woman at a property in Auckland's Morningside.
Police were called to the house on Don Croot Street at 9.15pm on Friday after a report that a woman was found unconscious.
"CPR was performed, however unfortunately the woman was not able to be revived," Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Allan said.
Allan said the woman's death was initially treated as "unexplained" and police were working to understand the full circumstances of what happened.
However, a post-mortem examination and other enquiries led police to consider there were "no suspicious circumstances in relation to her death".
The death was being referred to the Coroner.
"Our sympathies are with her friends and family," a police spokesperson said.
