4 NSW police investigate 'anti-Semitic threats' by health workers
Two New South Wales health workers have been stood down and a police investigation launched over a video posted online including alleged anti-Semitic comments.
The video was posted to an influencer's social media account, showing a man and a woman in NSW health uniforms saying they would not treat patients from Israel at the hospital where they worked.
5 McDonald's consent application for Wānaka declined
Commissioners have declined to grant consent for a McDonald's restaurant to open in Wānaka.
Consent was being sought for a 455-square metre restaurant with a drive-thru at the Wānaka-Luggate Highway, below Mt Iron.
Commissioners noted in their decision that the proposed development would be at odds with the town's "rural living" environment and activities.

Residents living in and around the Whakatāne suburb of Awatapu are fed up with being plagued by motorbikes day and night, but police say it is near impossible to catch the culprits.
"It has been a problem on and off for years, but over the past five or six months it has been every day and every night - and pretty much every day and every night either I or someone else is ringing the police, at least once. But nothing changes," one resident said.
