A New Zealand-born woman living in Melbourne believed to have been killed by her estranged partner is being remembered as "generous, vibrant, and loyal".
Rachel McKenna, 35, was found dead at her home in the suburb of Ascot Vale on January 31.
The Daily Mail reports her estranged partner then fled the scene and was found with critical injuries on the side of a motorway southwest of the city, where he later died.
He is believed to have taken his own life.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to support her son and cover the cost of her memorial.
"She was a big sister, a loved daughter, a doting aunty, and a dear friend to many," the page read.

"She was generous, vibrant, loyal, and looked forward to many adventures with her precious son."
Police said a homicide investigation was underway into her death.
"The exact circumstances surrounding the incidents continue to be investigated, however at this stage detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the matters," said Victoria Police in a statement.
It comes two weeks after a New Zealand-born woman was allegedly set on fire by her ex-partner in Brisbane.
Destiny Otton-Rakuraku, 34, has undergone a number of surgeries since the attack.
