Motivational speaker, social activist, retired boxer and rugby league player David Letele shares his five top wishes for 2025.
I'd love more family time. This is always at the top of my list. As the community needs continue to grow and BBM (David's business BBM Motivation) gets busier, I often find myself missing out on special moments. I want to spend more time with family and just enjoy every moment we have together. I always say my family is my why, but I also often hope they will still be there after I've given all I have to the community. So I need to make sure I give them the best of me as well.
I hope to compete in a beginner bodybuilding competition. That's my next physical goal, to compete in a beginner bodybuilding competition. I really need a goal and something to train towards to stay motivated so I think this will really help. Who knows, we might even be able to get a few more of our BBM team to compete as well!

I'm looking for new coaching opportunities. I plan to expand my reach and influence in the health and wellness community, and help more people. My resolution is to launch a new online coaching platform that provides goal setting tools, access to me, a personal coach, weekly check-ins, eating plans, training programs, and support for individuals seeking to improve their lives. I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of knowledge and accountability in changing lives, and I want to ensure that anyone can access these tools, no matter where they are. This is already in the works, and it will be a level up from my existing online app.
I'd like to see better support for community groups. I wish that all governments would understand that the solutions to all of our social issues are in the community already. Groups working on the smell of an oily rag are making an impact with no money, and they need to be supported better. I feel if this was done we would see so much change from the ground up.
Celebrate success, whether on the left or the right. I don't get why things always have to be politically so far left or so far right. Why can't we encourage success, and celebrate it when someone is successful? And let's also not forget to help the less fortunate, to come back and give others a hand up. That's my wish.
