The first one-day international between the White Ferns and Australia has been abandoned without a ball being bowled due to adverse weather conditions in Wellington.
The toss was initially delayed but match officials made the call at 1.30pm to abandon the Rose Bowl opener.
As a result, New Zealand Cricket have extended their free entry initiative to the remaining White Ferns' ODIs against Australia at the Basin Reserve on December 21 and 23.
More than 4000 fans were expected to watch the White Ferns' first match on home soil since their T20 World Cup triumph.
NZC said that ticket holders for December 21 and 23 will receive a full refund, and their current tickets will remain valid.
Ticket holders for today's abandoned match can use the same ticket to access the remaining matches.
The next ODI against Australia is set to start at 11am on Saturday.
