One dead after crash between car and truck near Rotorua overnight

Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle crash between Belmont Rd and Murphys Rd at around 4.40pm. (Source: 1News)

One person has died following a crash between a truck and a car near Rotorua during the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services were called to State Highway 5 in Ngongotaha Valley at around 3am.

One person died in the crash, and SH5 between Maraeroa Road and Dansey Road is closed.
