1 Head Hunters West president has motorbike and patch seized

The patch and motorcycle belonging to the president of the Head Hunters West chapter in Auckland have been seized by polid3 following a search this morning.

Police followed up after five patched members of the gang were seen on CCTV riding their motorbikes in Wellsford, north of Auckland, early yesterday morning.

Health agencies say they are coordinating a national response as New Zealand is now in the "early stages of a whooping cough epidemic".

Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand said the latest Institute of Environmental Science and Research reporting showed whooping cough cases had been steadily increasing again since September. This followed spikes in May, June and July.
