One person has been seriously injured after a crash between a car and pedestrian in Auckland this morning.

Police were alerted to the crash on Auckland's Te Atatu Rd at around 11.40am.

"One person has received serious injuries," a police spokesperson said.

The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance.

Police confirmed the road was closed between Titoki St and Royal View Rd, and motorists were advised to follow diversions and expect delays.
