1 Man hands himself into police after woman fatally stabbed on Auckland bus
Police have a man in custody who was sought in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman on a bus in Auckland's Onehunga yesterday.
Police said a 37-year-old man being sought handed himself in at North Shore police station.
Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown described the attack as "horrible" and called it "an attack on all of Auckland".

The Crown’s case is that the 44-year-old mother had arranged a viewing of the Hornby home for Tingjun Cao on July 19, 2023.
It’s argued the 53-year-old assaulted Bao there, dragged her through the house, and departed with her body in his car boot.
Real estate agent Steven Golding told the court an open home was held at the property on Sunday, July 23. He said approximately four people attended.

Australian police were called after passenger on a flight from Perth to Auckland was allegedly intoxicated and being disruptive.
Crew on the flight said the man, aged 23, refused to comply with requests – and assaulted a crew member, causing them a "slight injury".
The flight was diverted to Melbourne Airport. Australian police then boarded the aircraft to remove the passenger, who had been "restrained at the back of the aircraft".
