1 Former One Direction star Liam Payne dies in Argentina
Former One Direction singer Liam Payne, 31, has been found dead after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, local officials said.
Buenos Aires police said that Payne fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur Hotel in the trendy Palermo neighbourhood of Argentina's capital, resulting in "extremely serious injuries". Medics confirmed his death on the spot
Police were dispatched to the hotel in response to an emergency call about an "aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol".
Arriving police said they heard a thud and found Payne's body in the hotel courtyard.

KiwiRail is offering voluntary redundancy to all staff from Monday.
In an email to all staff, KiwiRail Chief People and Communications Officer Andrew Norton said the move was designed to "reshape the business, lower our costs and create a solid footing for future growth".
The transport operator had been proposing job cuts for months in a bid to lower costs, and had previously offered some teams the opportunity to apply for redundancy.
5 Jacinda Ardern receives Damehood from Prince William
Former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was officially made a Dame in a ceremony in the UK.
She was appointed a Dame Grand Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2023 King's Birthday Honours for her services to the state, a few months after her shock resignation as prime minister.

A "mystery animal" found in New Zealand waters has finally been identified by scientists as a species never seen here before.
NIWA scientists were stumped earlier this year after finding the "unusual" specimen during a three-week voyage to the unexplored Bounty Trough.
After being unable to identify what the creature was, the scientists simply started referring to it as "the thing".
