One person killed in Hawke's Bay crash, SH2 reopens near Waipawa

One person has been killed in a State Highway 2 crash, near Waipawa, in Hawke's Bay this morning.

Police were called to the single-vehicle crash at about 10.15am.

"Two other people suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Hawke's Bay Hospital," a police spokesperson said.

State Highway 2 was closed but has since reopened.

Police said inquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing.
