Police are investigating after a person was found dead at an address on Auckland's North Shore this morning.

A police spokesperson said they were notified of the incident in the suburb of Beach Haven just before 10am.

"An investigation into the circumstances of the death is underway and at this stage it is being treated as unexplained."
