A trio of Kiwi Para swimmers headline New Zealand's participation on day eight of the Paralympic Games.
New Zealand currently has four silver medals and three bronzes heading into day eight of the Games, with all of them coming from either the Velodrome or in track and field.
Tupou Neiufi competes in the women's 50m freestyle S8 heats at Paris La Defense Arena to conclude her Paralympic Games. She finished 5th in this event in Tokyo.
Earlier at the Games, Neiufi finished fifth in her heat in the 100m backstroke S8 and as a result didn't qualify for the final.
Lili-Fox Mason and Gaby Smith also compete in the women’s 400m freestyle S10. Mason competes in heat one and Smith will compete in heat two.
18-year-old Smith is the youngest member of the NZ Paralympic Team competing at the Games and she finished seventh in the women's 100m breaststroke SB9 final last Saturday.
Smith and Mason are both competing at their first Paralympic Games and are both based out of Christchurch. They will both hope to make it through their respective heats to qualify for the final of the event which is set to be held early Friday morning NZT.
Hand cyclist Rory Mead returns to compete in the men’s H1-2 road race after finishing fifth in the men's H2 individual time trial yesterday. The 37-year-old is based out of the US but was raised in Porirua.

Para shooter Greg Reid concludes his time at Paris 2024 in the R6 Mixed 50m Rifle Prone SH1. Qualification and finals take place on the same day and there won't be any television coverage of the qualification round.
