Michael Madsen, best known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino films, was arrested over the weekend after allegedly pushing his wife.
According to TMZ, the actor was arrested shortly after midnight on Saturday (local time), charged with misdemeanour domestic violence.
Police allege Madsen pushed his wife before locking her out of their Los Angeles home.
TMZ said that by the time police arrived, Madsen's wife was safe with a security team.
According to a statement provided to the entertainment outlet: "It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both."
Madsen posted a $20,000 bond and was released from custody.
He is best known for his roles in films like Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
