Police are asking anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the Pakuranga Heights area in Auckland around the time of a fatal shooting yesterday morning to come forward.
Yesterday, police responded to reports of gunshots around 6.45am in the Marvon Downs Avenue area.
Upon arrival, police said the man was located inside a courier van with gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.
Today, police said a post mortem examination has been completed.
Detective Inspector Shaun Vickers said the hunt for those responsible was ongoing.
He added they would like to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from around the area which may assist, and were travelling between 5.30am-7.30am on Monday August 19 in Pakuranga Heights.
Specifically, they asked for anyone who was travelling on Cascades Road, Archmillen Avenue, Hope Farm Avenue or Marvon Downs Avenue between those times to get in touch.
People with photos or videos which may be relevant are able to upload them to police here.
