A person has been rushed to hospital after they were found on the road with "critical injuries" in Auckland this evening.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Elmdon St and Bader Drive in Māngere around 5.55pm, where they found a critically injured person.
Two ambulances were called to the scene.
The person was taken to Middlemore Hospital, a St John spokesperson told 1News.
A section of Elmdon St is closed.

"Cordons have been put in place to allow police to undertake enquiries as they work to establish what has occurred," a police spokesperson said.
"Motorists are asked to follow the directions of emergency services staff at the scene."
