One person has been seriously injured in Waikato after a rope became tangled in a helicopter rotor this morning.
Police said it was notified at around 10am on Tuesday that at least one person has been injured.
A spokesperson said the helicopter was on the ground on Mangatoa Rd near Marokopa.
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said one ambulance and one helicopter were enroute to the scene of the incident.
"One patient was assessed at the scene and will be transported to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition."

Fire and Emergency NZ said it responded to an emergency call with two units.
