Tonight's Good Sort has been guiding boats home and keeping an eye out for those at sea for nearly half a century.
Meri Leask had voluntarily run Bluff fisherman's radio for 47 years, a local lifeline for those going onto the water.
"I really love the job," she said.
Over four decades, Leask said she had seen the best and worst of life on the water. When disaster struck, she was often one of the first to support the victim's loved ones.
"I'll go to the families to make sure they're alright."
She provided those out at sea with weather updates and checked for their safe return.
"They guys always know, they can ring me anytime."
