Erica Dawson and Micah Wilkinson have added another medal to New Zealand's haul today, with a bronze in the mixed multihull nacra race at Marseille Marina.
The pair, who have been racing together since the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, were visibly emotional with their placing.
In the final race Great Britain was recalled for a false start and eventually disqualified after failing to return to the start.
This error cost them a medal and effectively paved the path to bronze for the Kiwis.
The Kiwis were sitting in fourth place at the end of 12 races going into the medal race.
