Fog saw a number of domestic flights cancelled or delayed at Auckland Airport this morning.
Fog restrictions were put in place at 6.03am and were lifted at 10.37am.
International flights were not affected by the fog.
Auckland Airport said approximately 29 domestic flights were delayed, while 14 domestic departure flights and 15 domestic arrival flights were cancelled.
Last month, fog impacted domestic flights at Auckland Airport on several occasions.
Wet weather can be expected for much of the country this week due to a ridge of high pressure.
MetService meteorologist Dom Barry said the ridge was "dirty".
"It will be disrupted by a low pressure system and its associated fronts, which approach from the west, bringing wet weather as we head into Wednesday."
Wet weather will impact the South Island on Wednesday into Thursday and then move up the country the North Island on Thursday into Friday, Barry said.
