Your morning Olympics catch-up on the action you might've missed from overnight, and a look behind the scenes at what’s going on in Paris.
Twigg's seventh heaven
Medal number seven for New Zealand came in the form of Emma Twigg’s sterling silver effort.
This was the 37-year-old’s fifth Olympics campaign.
And while she couldn’t reel in the formidable Karolien Florijn from the Netherlands, Twigg was “super proud” of backing up her Tokyo Gold with second-place.
She joins a small group in the history of women’s single sculls to win multiple Olympic medals.
Twigg trailed Florijn for the entire race and looked likely to row past her in the last kilometre, but the Dutchwoman rallied again to claim gold.
It brings an end to her incredible Olympics career, with the most appearances of any Kiwi rower.

Mackintosh falls short
Tom Mackintosh’s single sculls event was delayed by about an hour when a Belarusian athlete arrived late.
When it did get underway, he couldn’t keep up with German Oliver Zeidler, who was almost cyborg-like in his domination.
The European rowed without sunglasses and was dead-eyed the entire race.
Mackintosh came in 5th.
High drama in the athletics
Kiwi shot put medal hopefuls Tom Walsh and Jacko Gill missed out on medals after a dramatic final saw Walsh injured and rain affect the throwers.
Walsh seemed to injure himself on his second throw and only just limped into the circle to make a third throw. The two-time bronze medallist failed to make the cut for the final three throws.
Gill ended up in sixth place as the rain made it tough for competitors to find their footing.
Kiwi sprinter Zoe Hobbs failed to make the women's 100m semi-final after an 11.13 second run.
In her semifinal, medal favourite Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica pulled out at the last minute.
Snoop Horse saddles up
Is Snoop Dogg becoming the star of the Games? After appearances at the swimming, gymnastics, and tennis – all while wearing various t-shirts sporting USA heroes – today he was lapping up the dressage at the Chateau de Versailles.
He was also wearing full riding gear, including the helmet.
Snoop famously had Kevin Hart in hysterics when commentating dressage at the 2020 Olympics.
But the variety of sports he’s across in Paris is proving he’s no one trick pony.
