Gluten-free soup mix recalled over possible presence of gluten

Wilson Consumer Products Ltd. is recalling batches of its King brand Traditional Soup Mix Gluten Free Vegetable due to the possible presence of gluten.

The affected products include batches 3178 – Best Before 27 Dec 2024; 3180 – Best Before 29 Dec 2024; 3184 – Best Before 04 Jan 2025; 3186 – Best Before 05 Jan 2025; 4045 – Best Before 14 Aug 2025; 4047 – Best Before 16 Aug 2025; 4051 – Best Before 20 Aug 2025; and 4053 – Best Before 22 Aug 2025.

The soup mix was sold in 210g plastic packages in supermarkets throughout the country.

"People with a gluten allergy or intolerance should not consume this product," the Ministry for Primary Industries said on its website.

"If you have consumed this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice. If you are not allergic or intolerant to gluten, this recall does not affect you."

Customers with a gluten allergy or intolerance should return the product to their retailer for a full refund.

The recall did not affect any other King brand products.
