Armed police respond after Auckland house shot at overnight

Multiple gunshots were fired at a house in Auckland's Māngere overnight, sparking a police investigation.

Police were called to the address on Outrigger Place at around 9.25pm. A large armed officer presence could be seen at the home last night.

"Multiple gunshots were fired at a house causing exterior damage. No one was injured," a police spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said police were still working to establish the circumstances of the shooting and if it was gang-related.

"A scene examination will be carried out this morning.

It follows a string of incidents in the past two months where homes in Auckland have been shot at overnight.
