Police have released the name of the woman found dead at an address in Palmerston North last week.

Police have released the name of the woman found dead in a suspected homicide at an address in Palmerston North last week.

She was 23-year-old Aaliyah Phillips Wilson of Palmerston North.

Police said emergency services were called to a residential property in Featherston Street, Roslyn at 12.10am on Thursday after reports of a person being seriously injured.

A police spoksperson said the post-mortem examination had now been completed and officers remained at the scene to carry out further inquires.

Police were supporting the family of the deceased "at this difficult time".

"We understand this was a distressing incident for those involved and the wider community."
