Police are investigating after shots were fired at parked vehicles in a driveway in Auckland's Ranui early this mornng.
Officers received a call reporting the sound of gunshots on Pooks Road shortly after 3am.
"Police found evidence of a firearm having been discharged towards parked vehicles in a driveway, causing some damage," a spokesperson said.
It was reported that a vehicle had fled from the scene after the shots had been fired.
"Nobody was located injured at the scene."

Police said inquiries would continue and the public could expect to see a high police presence in the area.
