Police are investigating the "unexplained death" of a person at a home in South Auckland on Thursday afternoon.
Police say they were called to a home on Bari Ln in Māngere East around 4.20pm, where a resident was found dead.

"A scene guard is in place while police conduct a scene examination, and a post-mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow," police said.
"Inquiries are ongoing including speaking with neighbours in the area and those known to the deceased."
