Flights were cancelled this morning as Auckland again woke up under a layer of thick fog.
Fog restrictions were put in place at Auckland Airport at about 5.25am, a spokesperson said. They were lifted at 9.50am.
The airport spokesperson said: "28 domestic flights were delayed and 43 domestic flights were cancelled due to the fog.
"International flights were not affected by the fog."
An earlier update said a JetStar flight to Sydney was affected – but that delay was due to "operational requirements", not the fog.

Passengers were urged to check Auckland Airport's website for the latest information on their flight.
It was not just flights being affected.
"Due to weather conditions (fog), expect delays and possible cancellations to all ferry services this morning," Auckland Transport said.
"Check Live Departures to see when services are running.
"Go to Journey Planner to find alternative ways to reach your destination.
"Thank you for your patience."
