Police have released the name of a person who died following a crash involving two trucks on State Highway 1 in Marlborough last week.
He was Benjamin William Foster, 33, of Blenheim.
"Police extend our sympathies to his family and friends during this difficult time.
"Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing."
Emergency services were alerted to the crash just north of Blenheim at Tuamarina, between Bush and Para roads, shortly before 10am last Thursday.

Another driver was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
They were the sole occupants of the vehicles, police said.
The Commercial Vehicle Investigation Team and the Serious Crash Unit were at the scene.
