Police name Japanese national who died in Wānaka cycling crash

Police have released the name of the cyclist who died in a fatal crash on SH84 and Anderson Road on Saturday, July 6.

He was 25-year-old Hiroto Shimura, a Japanese national.

"Police would still like to hear from anyone who might have witnessed the crash, or who might have dashcam footage," police said.

It added people can by assist by calling police or making an online report.
