Police are appealing for a man to come forward after a woman attempted to run from and was struck by a vehicle in Hamilton last night.
Investigators say the woman was hit by a Mazda 6 sedan after attempting to run from it on Clarkin Rd, near Golden Pl, in Fairfield, at around 7.15pm.

"Those involved are believed to be known to each other, and the victim has since been located and is in a stable condition at Waikato Hospital."
Police are carrying out inquiries into the circumstances behind the incident, including an examination of the vehicle involved.
Neilson said the man in the photograph "may be able to assist with our inquiries".
Police are providing support to the victim and her family.
