One person seriously injured after single-vehicle Northland crash

One person has been left seriously injured after a single-vehicle crash south of Whangārei this afternoon.

Police were notified of the crash on Takahiwai Rd in Ruakākā around 1.39pm on Tuesday.

St John Ambulance said it responded with one ambulance, one helicopter, and two rapid response vehicles.

"Three patients were assessed at the scene, one in a serious condition, one in a moderate condition, and one in a minor condition," a spokesperson said.

The serious crash unit has been notified.
